Clinical Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring with Oral Appliance Therapy

This paper expounds on the 2006 practice parameter paper, and incorporates an extensive literature review that is up to date.  It was done by a seven member task force commissioned by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).  The result was a set of guidelines, or practice parameters, by which dentists and physicians should evaluate and adhere, to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for their Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients who are treated with an oral appliance.  The guidelines are outlined in the 6 recommendations on the first page, but the entire paper is presented here for a deeper understanding of the methodology of the report
